Well friends ,I am posting after along time as I was out of Srinagar and will be getting back on the 11th of Feb after a 2 month break from the cold frontiers.Had the oppurtunity to visit a few places alont he length and breadth of the country.Starting my joeney from the Northern most capital city of the country to Mumaba to Hyderabad to Kochi to Mumbai and back aagin to Srinagar.Mananged to do diferent things during the two month break.We and th rest of the family travelled to Daman from Mumbai and spent some good time swimming in the cidade de goa .Sadly hte only good movie that released during our holidays was RNBDJ and hence ended up seeing the movie 3-4 times.One of Shah Ruks's best performances in a literal double role.
One of the highlights of my Hyderabad trip is Nithya self and the Kids saw a live Flute recital of Pt Hari Prasad Chaurasia.His rendition of Yaman Kalyan and Pahari transport you to a magical world of melodious sopul music.
Our next stop was at Kerala where the kiall of us including the Kids went and enjoyed the back water cruise atr Kumarakkom.Incidentally the boat we cruised on was also named Karthika.Manchu was really fascinated by the fact that a boat could contain a bathroom a was basin a tv with a DVD player and also Kitchen and he went around repeating this to any one who showed interest in his cruise.
Our next stop was at Munnars and the beautiful landscape of mountains populated by tea plantations.We also visited the kanan devan tea museum.
Finally we flew back to Bombay on th 5th of Feb. and swooned out of sheer jetlag for 2 days. Plan to visit Pune On Monday 9th Feb before I fly back to Srinagar.Nithya,I and our blended family had a swell time mixing pleasure and relatives though I must say it was a little hectic.
